Monday February 9th 2026

 I am finally feeling much better. I still have some sinus issues and a cough. I had a virtual appointment with my doctor today and she is getting me some antibiotics. 

The weekend was very uneventful, I tried to relax and not do much. Both my kids were pretty good, I didn't see much of my daughter because she stayed in her room, but that's normal. 

This Saturday is Valentine's Day. I need to get some valentines for my son's daycare class. They're having a party on Friday. 

I'm not sure what I am doing with my boyfriend. (I'm going to call him that now, it feels weird to call him my man friend. We've been a "thing" for over a year) He's been sick too, so I am hoping that he feels better by then. 

The library in town is open again, so my daughter will be going there after school until play rehearsal which means I don't have to do as much driving after work which is nice. There's about a month left of rehearsals. I am very proud of her for being in the school play again. I know she enjoys it. She doesn't have a main role, but that's ok.

 Not much has been going on that's been exciting or fun.  Last Tuesday was my sons birthday, my daughter was at play rehearsal so my boyfriend and I celebrated with him at home. It wasn't a big party or anything. Last Friday the kids and I went to their grandmothers and she had a little cake and gave him his presents. On Sunday my aunt and cousin came over and gave him some presents.  Not much else has been going on. It's been work and home. I've started watching the tv show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I have a couple podcasters that I listen to and they have one about the show where they go over each episode. They have one for True Blood which I really enjoy but I've listened to all the episodes they have out for it so far, so I am filling in the time I have to wait for the new one of that with the Buffy one. Wednesday February 11 2026

 Yesterday was a long day but decent. After work I went to the grocery store and got some food and valentines for the kids. While my daughter was at play rehearsal I went to sushi dinner with my son and my boyfriend. My son was very well behaved which was awesome. He's normally pretty good, so I wasn't surprised. After that we hung out at my boyfriends apartment until it was time to pick up my daughter. Then, the kids and I went home and we all went to bed. Work today was a little busy. We're treating some wheat and needed to get everything ready. I am learning how to calculate the chemical rates which had my brain spinning for a little while. Luckily we have a spreadsheet with formulas now so that will help in the future.  I don't have big plans this evening. After work I will drop off some food for my daughter before she goes to rehearsal and then me and my son will go home and chill and eat until I have to go pick her up. Tuesday February 10 2026

 I ordered little stuffed animals for my son's daycare class for Valentine's Day. I was trying to think of something to give to the kids that I wouldn't mind my son bringing home. I don't like stickers (well, I like stickers, but not for my 3yr old) or markers or anything messy and candy is a pain because it's always a whine fest. I think I will add a pack of goldfish crackers and maybe one little chocolate or something. Back when my daughter was in grade school I was pretty crafty and one year I made little pom pom hedgehogs. That was fun. Maybe if I think about it I will do something like that next year.  My boyfriend has had a migraine for like 2 days. I don't know how to help him and I feel bad because I'm pretty sure that I got him sick and thats whats causing it. He gets them every now and then, but it worries me that he has had it for so long.
