We had some snow over the weekend. Probably about 5-7 inches. It was not ideal to come into work yesterday so I stayed home with the kids. My daughter had another e-learning day today but the roads weren't too terrible, so I made it in to work. They probably would have been ok to drive on yesterday, but I didn't want to risk taking my son to daycare. If it was just me in the truck I wouldn't have minded, but he's precious cargo, and I knew there wasn't a lot going on at work.
Over the weekend I didn't do whole lot. Did some tidying and cleaned the fish tank. Played some videogames and just lounged around a bit. I did put away 2 boxes of stuff, which isn't much, but it's something.
My cousin is in the hospital. She's got strep and an infection in her abdomen from a surgery she has a while ago. She initially thought she tested positive for MRSA, but that luckily turned out to be negative. She is supposed to fly down to VA and take care of my sisters cats while shes at a tradeshow, so I hope she is well enough to do that.
I have a heck of a headache today. Feels like a sinus headache. I took some pills and I hope that helps.
My man friend took a fall on the ice yesterday and he is sore. He hit his head and thinks he may have at least bruised his ribs. I hope he feels better soon. I know there's nothing I can really do to help.
Here's something interesting and kinda creepy that's going on. Back when we lived in the house that we're in now, my daughter was 3 ish (almost the same age as my son is now) and she started to have an imaginary friend who she called "the fake man". As far as I could tell the fake man wasn't evil or anything, he never told her bad things or made her do anything terrible. Once she said the fake man told her to put stickers on the wall, but that's about it. Well, my son recently has been talking about a ghost. The other day I asked if the ghost was happy and he said "no, he's grumpy" I told him the ghost could stay if he was happy, but I would need to ask him to leave if he was grumpy. I know he's young and it's not easy for him to communicate what's really happening, and he has some halloween books with ghosts, so maybe it's not a real ghost, but I do find it very coincidental that my daughter had a similar experience, and my son's bedroom is my daughter's old bedroom. He's also been talking in his sleep around 3am the last couple days. He could be just dreaming though.
Maybe it's just a kid thing, but it sure does make me uneasy.
My daughter says she doesn't remember any of that from when she was that young, but I am going to ask her about it again. I remember either blogging about it, or posting stuff on facebook, but I can only find like one post about it now. I will keep looking.
Honestly, I'm not sure I even fully believe in ghosts, but this definitely makes me think. I know there's so much out there that we aren't even aware of. It's kind of scary.
